about

My best friend/brother moved from Daytona Beach to ATL, with the hopes for a new life. Still on anti-depressants he went 'west' in search of his new start. The night he left I told him the same problems would be there waiting for him, they would just have new names and new faces. He is still looking for greener pastures. ......aren't we all?

lyrics

Run boy run, into the west
To where he sets the sun
And nothing will change because you left
Your actions in fear are pure but your intentions are wrong

Shove these ovals in your throat and close your eyes
Pretend you're not alive
And you'll find a place of rest in your head

He's medicating his head so he doesn't have to feel his chest
And giving into a lie that it's all so different

Is the grass as green as you thought it would be
Jump the fence and wait for her to send the meds
Relieve the pressure of the things we've said
Run boy run but trust me it''s the same thing you left behind

The only difference is that you're not here

Have you found what you've been looking for
Did you find what you were searching for

Is the grass as green as you thought it would be
